Q

What kind of Job Placement Assistance do you offer?

A

Throughout our course, we are contacted by our company as well as other dental offices that are hiring or possibly looking to hire and we give you an opportunity to be more than just a resume, you actually get to use your 4hr on the job training shift there to show them your character and ability to learn. This is also why we require an externship...to get yourself in front of other dentists and hygienist and essentially have an up on the competition because they are getting to meet you and your unique and one of a kind self! There is not and will never be another YOU! :)

Once your externships are complete we will:

  1. We will write you a letter of recommendation
  2. Give you access to all the openings that our whole company receives along with other dental offices through our Custom Dental Assisting Assisting Alumni Page
  3. We are always available to talk with ANY doctor or hygienist once you have applied or are thinking of applying at a particular dental office
  4. We cannot apply for you because :
  • We really are not sure what locations you are interested in
  • We are not sure what branch of dentistry i.e. Pediatrics, orthodontics, endodontics etc.
  • If we do a lot of this essentially for you, there will be no value or sense of accomplishment for you. We are here to help you and be your cheerleader!

We are here to help each and everyone one of our students and to make a positive impact on the dental community.

Q

Why Should I Become A Dental Assistant?

A

Choosing a career as a dental assistant opens up a world of opportunities for professional growth, personal fulfillment, and job security. Here are some compelling reasons why this profession might be right for you:

  1. Job Security: Employment of dental assistants is projected to grow by 8% from 2023 to 2033, which is faster than the average for all occupations. This growth is driven by an increasing focus on oral health and the expansion of dental practices.
  2. Recession-Resistant Career: Dental care is a necessity, regardless of economic conditions. This makes dental assisting a stable and secure career choice, even during economic downturns.
  3. High Job Availability: Dental assistants are in demand across the country, with job openings available in both urban and rural areas. This widespread need ensures consistent opportunities for employment.

Career Advancement Opportunities: Dental assistants can strengthen their job security and broaden their skill set by pursuing expanded duty certifications offered in Oklahoma for Registered Dental Assistants. These include Radiation Safety and Protection (which is part of our 10-week program), Assisting in the Administration of Nitrous Oxide, Coronal Polishing, and Sealant Application for Pits and Fissures. These specialized certifications not only increase earning potential but also pave the way for greater career stability. Additionally, many of our graduates take their careers even further by becoming Dental Hygienists or Dentists.
  5. Personal Fulfillment: Contributing to patients’ oral health is rewarding and brings a sense of purpose to your work. Many graduates also go on to become Dental Hygienists or Dentists, making dental assisting a great stepping stone for future growth.
  6. Work-Life Balance: Most dental offices work Monday through Thursday, providing long weekends and flexibility to balance your personal and professional life.
